Case Studies1. Jamnabai Narsee School, MumbaiThe school situated in Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme in North Western Mumbai, is a place where a child learns to learn. It is the celebration of the life of a child, for every activity, every class and every event revolves around the child. The school has a track record of academic excellence as well as co-curricular competency in art, sports and other creative fields. It celebrates its credo Vidya Param Balam i.e., “Knowledge is Strength Supreme” through the daily school life of the child. It has over 1500+ students starting from lower kg to senior secondary.
Challenge
The school desired to implement computer Masti as an extra co-curricular activity in their club LEC (Life enrichment Centre), after the school timings. Moreover, after school timings holding up a computer teacher and school’s system administrator was also difficult.
Solution
Inopen tailored Computer Masti curriculum as an extra co-curricular activity, and classes after school timings were conducted at the computer Lab of the school itself. Computer Masti Instructor as well the system administrator were also provided from our end.
Result
The Computer Masti is being carried in the school very swiftly with positive feedback's and appreciation from the school management, parents and students as well.
Not to forget, Jamnabai Narsee kids like Computer Masti character ‘Moz’ a lot!!!!
2. SSRVM Mulund, MumbaiSri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir(SSRVM), Mulund is a part of SSRVM group of schools comprising of 41 schools in total. Sri Sri Ravishankar Viya Mandir as the name itself suggests, is designed to be a temple of learning where knowledge is revered, it provides world-class holistic education that is aimed at all- round development of the student’s personality by facilitating Cognitive, Physical, Emotional, Social and Spiritual growth, it enables the students to broaden their vision and deepen their roots by appreciating the cultural heritage of their own country and honour those of other Nations. The aim is to provide the children of 21st century with modern tools as well as the moral & spiritual strength needed to face the challenges of the modern world and thus evolve into model citizens. Challenge SSRVM group of schools have been a partner school for Computer Masti were CM pilot batches were conducted as a part of initial phases of CM execution, so it was really important for us to carry Computer Masti in the school with full swing as it was a bench mark for us to provide world class academic solution. Primarily, the computer curriculum had to be designed followed by provision of computers and related hardware to the school, setting of their computer labs and deployment of Computer Masti Instructor and system administrator by Inopen. Solution Within two visits by our academic team, computer curriculum was designed and was approved by the authorities of the schools. The Computer hardware was provided to school at a very subsidized prices and CM instructor and System administrator were deployed full time for the school as the number of students were more than 280. Result The CM++ turnkey solution was provided to SSRVM, Mulund at a very coordinated and divised manner, and the following academic year the number of Computer Masti students increased to 386. SSRVM parents are always eager to meet the CM team at the Parent Teacher’s Meetings and want to know how their kids are performing in computers. In the coming academic year, Inopen aims at targeting 500+ students with CM. |
