Computer Masti (CM) is an extensive research based product, created and developed at IIT Bombay, in collaboration with InOPEN Technologies, for effectively teaching computers in schools. It is designed as a series of text books, after a deep understanding of the curriculum suitable for the primary and secondary school students in the Indian sub-continent as well as schools abroad. The Book is accompanied by a DVD which contains loads of interactive educational softwares and games. The e-books have been downloaded in more than 90 countries. CM Books have been translated into 8 Indian languages and 2 foreign languages. The story of CM creations can be seen in the video.

Computer Masti Learning Systems

Developed after much scrutiny of the current syllabus and text books available for computer education in schools, it seeks to create a course which captures the interest of children and makes computer learning an activity based and ‘fun to do’ exercise. Computer Masti was first started by developing worksheets and handbooks for a 2-year pilot project in SSRVM, Mulund. Based on the insights gained by having children actually carry out the activities, Computer Masti was subsequently developed into full fledged books. Nevertheless, CM is not just text books; it is an integrated program which utilizes the power of animations, games and extensive use of interactive multimedia content to deliver education, making it easier for students to learn and grow.

Apart from supplying text books Computer Masti learning system is also being implemented in schools through different kinds of models. We offer solutions ranging from complete Turnkey Solutions (CM++) to custom solutions (CM+ & CM basic). We partner with Schools and Institutions on contractual basis. The contract period is 2-5 years. We also work on BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) model where we setup a complete audio-visual lab and transfer the same to schools after the contract period gets over. We also conduct Computer Masti training for school teachers, educators as well as parents. Certification course is also conducted to develop CM certified instructors on various aspects of computer teaching with a right mix of technical skills and CM philosophy. Computer Masti books are available in 8 Indian (Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Bengali) and 2 foreign languages (Arabic and French).
